Epson Expression 1680 Pro Flatbed Scanner

The EPSON EXPRESSION 1680 delivers image and text scans that meet exacting professional standards. With a scanning resolution of up to 1600 x 3200 dpi with Micro Step Drive technology, true 48-bit color, the most recent EPSON TWAIN software for total control and an output resolution of up to 12,800 dpi, this scanner is the very essence of scanning and imaging excellence.

To ensure the finest image quality, the Expression 1680 features Epson's most advanced scanning technologies. Micro Step Drive for high resolution, Dynamic Range Control to get the most out of transparencies, Simultaneous RGB scanning and Precision Optical Lenses providing superior sharpness and clarity.

In addition the Expression 1680 features unique Dual Position Focus which provides pinpoint focusing for both reflective and transparent media. The film holders supplied with the optional transparency unit eliminate unsightly Newton rings by holding the transparency away from the bed of the scanner. The Dual Focus system adjusts to focus at this new distance to give sharp accurate results.

The Expression 1680 offers exceptional optical density - up to 3.6 Dmax for transparency scanning and Precision Optical Lens which ensure sharp detail capture.

There are a high number of photoelectric elements in sensor, ensuring highest scanning resolution, and CCD sensors that are used in professional scanners where reliability and accuracy are paramount. Text Enhancement Technology 'removes' background images to enhance pure text scanning.
