Canon Speedlite 420EX Flash for Canon EOS SLR Cameras
Features:
- Works with all
Canon EOS bodies
- Swivel head for
bounce flash photography
- TTL compatible with
all Canon EOS bodies
- E-TTL features with
some Canon EOS bodies
- Uses 4 AA batteries
Though TTL compatible with all Canon EOS
cameras and the manual-focus T90 SLR, the Canon Speedlite 420EX flash is also
E-TTL compatible with all A-type bodies: EOS-1v, EOS-3, Elan 7 / 7E, Elan
II/IIE, Rebel 2000, Rebel G, and EOS IX and IX Lite. The E-TTL function gives
you features like high-speed FP sync mode and FE lock (spot/partial flash
metering). The swivel head of the 420EX lets you bounce the light off the
surrounding surfaces, giving your images soft, professional-quality lighting.
This flash also works as a wireless
"slave" flash with EOS-1v, EOS-3, Elan 7 / 7E, and D30 bodies. The remote flash
firing is controlled entirely by a master unit--such as the Speedlite
Transmitter ST-E2, Speedlite 550EX, or Macro Ring Lite MR-14EX--connected to the
camera, making it fast and simple to set up. When used with the EOS-1V, EOS-3,
or EOS D30 cameras, additional features such as lighting ratio control and
modeling flash are also supported by the 420EX.
Canon 550 EX Flash
Features:
- High-output
shoe-mount flash for EOS system
- Auto zoom coverage
from 24-105mm
- Compatible with all
EOS cameras
- Supports wireless
flash with EOS-3
- Runs on 4 AA
batteries
Speedlite 550EX is the main component of a new flash system
designed together with the EOS-3 SLR camera. It provides full compatibility with
the new area AF technology employed by the EOS-3 and refined E-TTL autoflash for
improved performance. Other main features include a maximum Guide Number of 180
(ISO 100, ft.), an AF-assist beam which links to the EOS-3's 45-point area AF,
FP Flash (high speed sync), FE lock (a flash version of AE lock), and FEB (Flash
Exposure Bracketing). The Speedlite 550EX also incorporates a built-in wireless
transmitter, which can control other Speedlite 550EX units set up as slave
units. Flash coverage is set automatically from 24mm to 105mm, and a wide-angle
panel extends the coverage to 17mm. The new Speedlite runs on 4 AA-size
batteries, and can also be used with optional external power supplies such as
Compact Battery Pack E and Transistor Pack E. Recycling times are faster than
those experienced with the Speedlite 540EZ. Speedlite 550EX is compatible with
all EOS models.

Features:
- Recycle time is 0.1
to 4.5 seconds
- Flash range is 2.3
to 63 feet
- Flash capacity is
250 to 1,700
- E-TTL operation

- Powered by AA
batteries
Designed for automatic operation only, the 220EX Flash Unit
excels at providing natural-looking balanced flash exposures. When attached to
the EOS IX, EOS Elan II/Elan IIe/IIe, or EOS Rebel G, the 220EX incorporates the
superior technology of Canon's unique E-TTL evaluative pre-stored flash exposure
control system, FE Lock for a dimension of creative control and FP Flash
(High Speed Sync) for flash photography up to maximum shutter speed. When
used with other EOS cameras, or the T90, it operates as a TTL autoflash

operation, flash exposure is measured and controlled by the camera in
combination with Canon's AIM system. Subject position, ambient light level,
evaluative metering and pre-flash data are instantly analyzed, including heavy
backlighting or reflections from background windows or mirrors.
The Canon Speedlite 220 EX, developed primarily for the EOS IX, EOS
ELANII/ELANIIE and EOS Rebel G, is a high-performance, fully-automatic, compact,
clip-on E-TTL/TTL flash unit. This Speedlite offers a wide range of distinctive
features that set it apart from the competition.

550EX. Improved Styling and Functionality - Reducing width by 4mm and weight by
30g, the Speedlite 580EX matches sophistication with handling ease. The flash
head's built-in wide panel expands flash coverage to suit wide-angle shots of
14mm angle of view. A catchlight panel generates a weakened light toward the
subject for lively portraits when extended and the wide panel retracted. Flash
exposure control system, wireless flash control with multiple Speedlites, and
even distribution of light over the zoom range are retained. One new function is
the expanded range of the AF-assist beam, compatible with all EOS AF cameras,

Konica Minolta
Minolta 2500HS (D) Maxxum Flash with Case
Features:
- Can be tilted
between 0 and 90 degrees
- Direct
through-the-lens (TTL) flash metering in all exposure modes
This affordable flash unit is characterized by powerful,
automatic performance and is compatible with all Minolta Maxxum Single
Lens-Reflex (SLR) film cameras, the Minolta DiMAGE
series of digital cameras including the new Minolta DiMAGE A1and DiMAGE Z1
digital cameras. When used in combination with Minolta's D series lenses and
Advanced Distance Integration (ADI) compatible camera bodies such as the Maxxum
4, Maxxum 5 and Maxxum 7, the new Minolta Program/Maxxum Flash 2500 (D) uses the
sophisticated ADI metering system for controlling flash exposures. With
conventional flash metering, dark or highly reflective subjects can deceive the
metering system and cause over or underexposure. To
reduce influence from subject or background reflectance, ADI metering uses
distance information from Minolta D series lenses with
TTL (through the lens) metering to control the flash output. The Program/Maxxum
Flash 2500 (D) has a bounce flash head that can be tilted between 0° and 90°.
This can be used to create soft, indirect lighting in interiors by reflecting
the flash off the ceiling.
