weighs only 2.2 lbs and is

tripods, the Traveler offers
unparalleled strength.
Made of Carbon 2, this all
new six-layer tube
construction process makes
it stronger than existing
carbon, yet 15% lighter. In
addition, the G1155T
features Anti Leg Rotation (ALR).
Simply loosen the twist
locks on each leg at the
same time and then pull the
leg down and tighten the
twists individually.
An excellent choice for use
with all digital cameras,
35mm and light weight
camcorders, the Traveler
offers high maximum load for
a very low weight. The
travel tripod weights only
2.2 pounds and is the ideal
solution for photographers
on the move in situations
where space is at a premium.
It only takes seconds to
open and secure the tripod
with the new
Anti-Leg-Rotation (ALR)
system. Just loosen all
twist locks at the same time
and pull down the leg before
tightening the twist locks,
making setup a mere 15
seconds. Gitzo added other
improvements such as a new
center column-locking collar
found above the tripod.
Adjusting this collar is
quick and easy and it also
improves stability.
Even the stabilizing hooks
that use to take up space
and snag on clothing or
equipment will no longer be
problematic. A newly
redesigned built-in,
spring-loaded, retractable
accessory hook provides a
place to hang equipment,
such as camera, sand or
water bags, on the bottom of
the center column.
Like all Gitzo carbon fiber
tripods, the Traveler also
offers unparalleled
strength. The tripod was
developed using a unique
manufacturing process based
on pull winding of long
carbon fibers. The fibers
are precisely wrapped and
combined under high
temperature and pressure
with epoxy resin.
This process ensures stiff,
light tubes that are
resistant to bending and
perform with a high degree
of stability and compression
strength. The Traveler also
provides greater capacity to
absorb vibrations and
withstand fatigue.
The Traveler also is built
with Gitzo's anti-rotation
grooved center column. The
center column-locking collar
makes it easier to adjust
the column quickly. The legs
are assembled using Gitzo's
"H.I.S.," a dual "screw
thread and glue" jointing
technology that provides
greater durability and
reliability than alternative
methods.
