Nikon - N75 SLR Camera

Designed for budding photographers who enjoy taking great pictures and want to advance their creative potential, the N75 integrates sophisticated new advanced technology with Nikon's intuitive design and proven features. The N75 is sophisticated enough to empower photographers to create pictures with stunning color and exceptional sharpness, while offering them a choice of simplicity and ease-of-use, or full personal control.

The N75 incorporates an extensive set of new and intelligent features including an easy-to-access Three-Mode Focus Area Selector switch, an all-new 25-segment Matrix metering system, 12 Custom Functions, 3D Multi-Sensor Balanced Fill-Flash and three cleverly engineered Dynamic Autofocus modes that ensure crisp, sharp pictures.

Nikon recognized the need for a camera that is simple enough that it won't intimidate budding photographers, yet sophisticated enough to fuel creativity, imagination and expression among those who have a strong interest in photography with personal control. Nikon's N75 strikes that balance by masking its sophisticated technology and features within a highly user-friendly and easy-to-operate design. The design of the N75 allows photographers to develop their picture taking abilities at their own pace, while they take advantage of the numerous options available from Nikon's Total Imaging System. At the same time, simplified features such as the Vari-Program scene modes enable users to take brilliant pictures in everyday situations without any complexity.

The high definition, vivid photographs produced by Nikon's N75 can be attributed to a wealth of advanced imaging technologies incorporated in the camera. However, using an intelligent and intuitive user interface, this technology is made transparent to the photographer -- who is freed up to explore the creative aspects of photography. While photographers concentrate on composition, lighting and subjects, the camera's technology takes care of the picture taking details like exposure, focus and other operations.

The N75 features five AF sensors that cover a wide area, both horizontally and vertically, and offers three modes to control the focus area selection. Using the "Closest Subject Priority" mode enables the camera to automatically focus on the subject closest to the camera. This feature is excellent for dealing with scenes where the subject is far from the background and the photographer wants to be certain that the "closest subject" will be in sharp focus, avoiding accidental focusing on the background. Similarly, when the "Center Subject Priority" mode is chosen, the N75 automatically sets focus for the subject in the center of the frame, ignoring objects or people that might be in the periphery and not the main subject of the picture. Photographers can also chose to manually control the focus area selection, giving them all the latitude they need to creatively frame a shot. Just put the sensor on the subject and shoot.

Even though the N75 weighs less than 13.5 ounces, it is loaded with features that help photographers learn new techniques and become more creative with their photography. The camera allows for easier framing by placing the Focus Area Selector switch conveniently next to the right-hand thumb so that even while taking pictures, photographers can adjust focus area selection. While the AUTO mode gives users high quality SLR images with a push of the shutter release button, the N75's five Vari-Program scene modes fine-tune the camera's performance for selected picture conditions. The built-in speedlight pops up automatically when shooting in low light conditions or when photographing strongly backlit subjects. The N75's advanced 3D Multi-Sensor Balanced fill-flash capability provides just the right amount of light to brighten shadows, add highlights, and make a shot look natural and beautifully enhanced. A large LCD panel with easy-to-read characters simplifies mode selection.
