The GX-1S digital SLR
combines fantastic ease of
use with state-of-the-art
optical and digital
technologies. This well
specified model offers
brilliant image quality and
easy operation, allowing
photographers to focus on
what's really important,
great pictures.
GX-1S offers a wealth of
user-friendly features,
including an optical
viewfinder for clear,
accurate image framing and a
large LCD for displaying and
reviewing images, all in a
compact, robust body.
GX-1S is ergonomically
designed for fantastic ease
of use. Made with a light
and robust stainless steel
chassis, its body weighs
only 505g.
The specially-finished grip
adds a stable picture-taking
capability to this
super-light, slim digital
SLR. One of many features of
GX-1S is the large 2.5" LCD,
making it well equipped to
display the high quality of
the images taken.
GX-1S has adopted the
Pentaprism viewfinder to
capture larger and clearer
images, enabling the user to
easily identify subtle
changes.
The Pentaprism uses a
reflective surface processed
with deposition and coating
technology that increases
optical efficiency, thus
ensuring a large and clear
view, high magnification of
0.95, and the high picture
coverage of 95%, that would
be impossible with
mirror-based technology.
GX-1S has adopted the 2.1
million-pixel, 2.5-inch
large TFT LCD, providing an
unprecedented wide and clear
screen, enabling the user to
review the image more
easily, thus enhancing
picture accuracy and
clarity.

2.5-inch large TFT LCD
The large and clear LCD also
allows the user to easily
navigate the camera's menu.
This enables the user to
control the camera settings,
such as resolution and
picture quality as well as
settings including ISO,
white balance, drive mode,
and stroboscope.
A separate information LCD
on top of the camera makes
the GX-1S even easier to
use. The LCD displays
information about camera
operation, including shutter
speed, iris value, flash
operation, photographing
mode, focus, bracketing,
white balance, and remaining
battery capacity.

LCD
Equipped with an 11-point
stadimeter high-precision AF
feature,GX-1S provides a
wide range of AF and AF
features. The central 9
points form a cross sensor
that adjusts the focus on
any horizontal or vertical
line.
They offer excellent
flexibility in determining
the composition by bringing
even an off-centre subject
into focus.
Additional features include
a setting which allows the
user to select the position
of the AF object, and the
display of available
focusing points in red.
Equipped with a 16-split
photometry system, GX-1S
enables accurate
measurements of the
intensity of radiation and
color distribution based on
the AF information even in
tricky lighting conditions.
This allows the user to
obtain the best exposure for
each different circumstance.
Available modes are: Multi,
Center-weighted and Spot.
