Super-Angulon XL Wide Angle Lens with Copal #0 Shutter
The Super-Angulon is a special purpose,
ultra-wide-angle camera lens for medium and large
format photography. The Super-Angulon is available
in an unusually wide range of focal lengths from
47mm to 210mm, assuring the right lens for every
type of professional application.
The Super-Angulon is being offered in a range of 3
different characteristics of performance. The
Super-Angulon XL is the latest 8-element, wide-angle
design for large format photography with an angle of
view of 120 degrees. The extension of angle of view
makes possible maximum camera movements and
overcomes many more problems which may confront the
exacting professional. The Super-Angulon XL uses the
latest technology to attain outstanding performance.
These characteristics give the Super-Angulon XL an
outstanding position in ultra-wide-angle
photography, and it is the most successful addition
to a range of already high-quality lenses.
The second series of the Super-Angulon f/5.6 has a
more complex optical system than the f/8 series. Its
8-element, 4-component, almost symmetrical design
provides a high-speed version of the Super-Angulon
that will surpass the requirements of the most
demanding professional. Along with an angle of view
of 105 degrees at f/22 this lens offers a full stop
extra which may be decisive for photographing under
critical lighting conditions.
The Super-Angulon f/8 series is an almost
symmetrical, 6-element, 4-component design. In
conjunction with the use of carefully selected
optical glass and the latest design techniques, this
series guarantees outstanding performance that will
fully satisfy the demanding requirements of modern
photography.
Excellent contrast and resolving power are proven
characteristics of these lenses. Another feature of
the Super-Angulon is its unusually wide angle of
view of 100 degrees when stopped down.
For each Super-Angulon, special Center-Filters are
available, partial compensation for the natural
brightness decrease of the wide-angle lenses towards
the edge.
